Blended Families

Bringing families together in a new relationship or marriage can be both challenging and rewarding. Blended families often have to figure out a new set of rules and way of living, and these changes can create growing pains for both parents and kids. We can strategize to make your family run smoothly and happily.

Multigenerational Families

Issues can arise in families at any age and stage of life. Sometimes there are old wounds and unfinished business from the past. You might be struggling to communicate and connect with your family, and conflict may be a common theme at family gatherings. We work with:

  • adult children and their parents

  • adult siblings

  • extended families, including grandparents

 Separation or Divorce

Discernment Counseling

Have you been struggling in your relationship and are now contemplating breaking up, separating, or divorcing? Has your partner mentioned splitting up but you want to stay together? Are you questioning whether or not traditional couples therapy will work for you? Each of you may be experiencing different feelings about what to do, and this supports both parties as you work through your feelings (together and individually). Some goals include getting clearer, managing emotions, learning about yourself, and learning about relationships.

Family Therapy

Have you decided to get a divorce and are wondering how to tell your children? Do you fear how this change will impact them? Have you already told your children about the divorce and want to create a safe space for them to ask questions and process their feelings as a family? We can help you find the best ways to communicate this decision, and we can help your kids navigate this life transition and foster resilience.

Co-parenting

Are you struggling to co-parent with your ex? Are you fighting over things like schedules and rules? Do you have trouble communicating with each other and feel frustrated? Maybe co-parenting has been going well, but now there is a big change in the family that is making it more difficult these days. We help co-parents strategize ways to have more harmony in their relationships with their kids and each other.
